First published in 1911 by Gaston Leroux, this classic tale didn't receive much press until Lon Chaney brought this famous creature to life on the silver screen in 1925. Then in the 1980s, the award winning musical by the same name brought the Phantom back and became a household name. Officially licensed by Universal Studios and Chaney Enterprises, The Phantom of the Opera is built in 1/8 scale and comes with 40 parts. This is an original kit developed from an original sculpt by Pat Delaney, depicting the Phantom by his pipe organ. The diorama includes a base, organ, candelabra, music stand, quill pen, and mask. In addition, Chris White, award-winning illustrator, created the original box art for this new kit. Model height 10 inches. Requires plastic cement.
